Its wealth management activity offers both discretionary and advisory portfolio management to more than 2,500 clients.

The challenge

Carmignac Gestion Privée offers tailor-made advice in line with the client’s needs in terms of investment duration, risk profile and personal situation from a family, taxation and professional perspective.

 

Moreover, Carmignac Gestion wants to offer total transparency so customers can follow the performance of their portfolios. It achieves this through regular reporting and via remote access to the company’s website.     

 

To achieve these objectives, Carmignac Gestion needed a portfolio management tool allowing it to personalise every client relationship and provide individual reporting.

 

Carmignac Gestion had the following requirements:

 

  • A ‘vertical’ solution allowing Carmignac Gestion to manage its entire wealth management activity.
  • An environment enabling Carmignac Gestion’s wealth management advisors to maximise day-to-day client management and optimise client satisfaction.
  • Extended client reporting features and ability to access data centralised in the tool – management assistance, internal and external reporting (quality and modularity).
  • The possibility to manage standard processes with the assistance of a Wizard to create new clients/prospects, to open accounts, to manage MIFID regulations etc. in accordance with industry regulations and internal controls.
  • The possibility to communicate with a multitude of external financial providers.
  • Enhanced interaction between the wealth management tool and the rest of Carmignac’s infrastructure (access to client website, export to Excel and pdf, distribution of emails, call management).
  • Remote client access through a user-friendly interface.
  • Security of the accounting processes and integrity of the data – controlled operational risk, stability of the tool.
  • Automation of low-value-added tasks so staff can focus entirely on their core business.
  • Enhanced business monitoring: multi-criteria analyses of outstanding loans, revenues and returns.

The outcome

After assessing the market, Carmignac Gestion concluded that BSB’s Soliam software met all its stringent criteria. Implementation lasted a year and Carmignac Gestion put Soliam into production in April 2009
