Founded in 1890, la Bâloise has become an integral part of the Luxembourgian economical and social landscape. Today, la Bâloise Vie Luxembourg S.A. offers life-insurance solutions and financial services to both individuals and companies through a network of 600 brokers.

In 2007, la Bâloise Vie Luxembourg S.A has realized a turnover of 438 millions of Euros, an increase of 41% with regard to 2006.

 

The challenge

Thanks to the numerous advantages they offer, the insurance bonds and the unit-linked products (i.e. life-insurance products linked to funds) have become ‘booming’ business since the last couple of years, especially in the countries adjacent to Luxembourg.

Within the context of the freedom to provide services, la Bâloise Vie Luxembourg S.A commercializes this type of products from Luxembourg on 4 major markets : Belgium, France, Germany and the Netherlands.

Always attentive to the needs of its clients, la Bâloise has based its strategy on client satisfaction.

 

In order to meet the increasing needs of its clients with regard to new unit-linked products, la Bâloise decided in 2005 to replace its current system for the management of its policies by a new software.

 

The solution : Solife

 

In its search for the best possible solution, la Bâloise had put forward the following criteria :  

  • Flexibility and smoothness in terms of creation of new products and tailor-made products  (« Products Catalogue »)

  • Adaptability of the Workflow to the business processes

  • Easy integration of the new software with the existing application

  • Software editor having experience with and knowledge of the insurance business

The Solife software of BSB met all those requirements.

 

The result

The contract has been signed in 2006. Since that day, six new unit-linked products have been launched via Solife, and this in a record time of only 3 months.  

Beside these new products, all the existing client policies from la Bâloise and Winterthur Europe Vie (taken over by la Bâloise) have been successfully integrated in Solife.
